Brea Olinda Unified School District will celebrate the groundbreaking of the much anticipated school site fencing projects that will take place at various school sites beginning in early September. The celebration will take place at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 20 at Laurel Elementary.
In order to continue the district’s goal to modernize and secure its nine school campuses, the district began exploring fencing upgrades for seven of the district's schools. Fencing enhancements are planned for Arovista Elementary, Brea Country Hills Elementary, Falcon Academy, Laurel Elementary Magnet School, Mariposa Elementary, Brea Junior High and Brea Olinda High School.
The groundbreaking ceremony will feature remarks from Paul Ruiz, BOUSD Board President, Brinda Leon, Superintendent and a parent representative.
